Shellback

My name is Phil Glenn, I am the owner/captain of the "SHELLBACK". I started fishing from Bodega Bay with my father in 1955. Most of my experience has been in the commercial salmon and crab fishery. I have owned six boats from 36 to 61 ft., all commercial. In 1986 I started sportfishing out of Eureka, Ca. I owned & operated the 50 ft. partyboat "CELTIC" until 1996, when the dept. of fish & game all but closed the sport salmon season. After that I spent most of my summers running other sportboats from Bodega Bay, including the "Aggressor", "Wieda", and the "Calico".

In November, 2003 I traveled to Bath, Maine and purchased a fiberglass lobsterboat, had it trucked to California, rigged her for sportfishing, and started up again in Eureka. Because the seasons still vary on the northcoast, I am bringing the "SHELLBACK" to Bodega Bay again during July & August, and will work for my good friends Judy and Bonnie here at "WILLS BAIT & TACKLE". You will enjoy fishing on "SHELLBACK" she is fast, seakindly, has a heated cabin, and at 36 ft., has ample room for her maximum load of 6 passengers.
